Installation and Application
The Urbanit® range is not designed for intensive use by heavy goods vehicles.
Do not use with hot asphalt.
Can be cut using a disc cutter.
Where necessary, modules can be driven on before filling to facilitate unloading of topsoil.
Can be laid on gradients of up to 2%.

1. What is the load-bearing capacity of Jouplast® modules?
All our modules are strong enough to cope with the load imposed by reasonable traffic volumes. Every product in the URBANIT® range is designed to carry more intensive traffic volumes, and have a maximum load-bearing capacity of 1,000 tonnes/m2 when filled with grass, aggregate or block pavers. The mechanical strength of our modules is the fundamental criterion addressed by our development process in ensuring absolute substrate stability.
2. Are Jouplast® stabilisation modules eco-friendly?
All our modules are made from 100% recycled polyolefin, polyethylene and polypropylene. This means that 100% of our plastic raw materials originate as textile industry waste. We use no virgin raw materials. All our honeycomb stabilisation modules come with a 10-year warranty when laid in full accordance with our installation instructions and our general terms and conditions of purchase. Since they are laid with no foundation, they impose no environmental impact, and can be easily removed at any time.
