1. How to choose ceramic tiles for your terrace?

Choosing ceramic tiles for your terrace is primarily about aesthetics, but not only.

Here are some criteria to keep in mind:

Anti-slip: Safety is paramount, especially outdoors. Opt for tiles with an anti-slip finish to prevent falls, especially during rainy weather.

Weather resistance: Choose tiles that are resistant to frost, UV rays, and temperature variations. Porcelain stoneware is often recommended as it represents a good compromise.

Ease of maintenance: Select materials that are easy to clean and maintain. Glazed porcelain stoneware is a good option as it is stain-resistant and can be easily cleaned with a brush and soapy water.

Thickness and format: For an outdoor terrace, a thickness of at least 20 mm is recommended to ensure good durability. Square formats of 60×60 are very common.

2. How to maintain and clean a ceramic terrace?

After installing ceramic tiles on pedestals, it is important to maintain your outdoor arrangement. We recommend regularly cleaning your surface by sweeping to remove dead leaves or debris and to facilitate the drainage of rainwater through the gaps between the tiles. Use a high-pressure cleaner occasionally, but not too often, to avoid damaging the tiles.
