To help you pack out all types of gap between horizontal or vertical surfaces, Jouplast® offers a wide range of snappable construction packers, including flat spacers, ridged wedges and forked packers. Ultra-strong and stackable, they provide the ideal solution for packing out all types of timber flooring, from decking to boarded floors, and for all interior and exterior joinery work. They also provide a very effective way of ventilating timber decking substructures to increase their lifespan, as recommended by the current French technical standard (DTU).

1. What are Jouplast® breakable shims used for?

Jouplast® flat shims are thin spacers designed for low-height adjustments.

Their breakable design allows them to be divided into 2 or 4 pieces, effectively giving you 4 shims in 1. They also ensure proper ventilation for wooden structures, in compliance with the minimum spacing recommended by DTU 51.4 (3 mm between the decking board and the joist).

Extremely durable, they can withstand heavy loads without deforming (their compressive strength exceeds 2 tonnes).

2. What are Jouplast® fork shims used for?

Jouplast® fork shims are leveling accessories designed to simplify the installation and adjustment of all types of construction projects.

Thanks to their forked shape and flexible inner ridge, they easily snap onto a screw and ensure optimal hold during tightening.

Available in various thicknesses (1, 2, 3, and 5 mm), they can be stacked using their pins, allowing for precise level adjustments and quick setup.

They are extremely durable, do not deform under load, and can withstand pressure exceeding 2 tonnes.

3. What are Jouplast® breakable flat shims used for ?

ouplast® breakable flat shims are designed for low-height adjustments.

Available in various thicknesses (2, 3, and 5 mm), they are ideal for leveling carpentry elements, compensating for irregularities, and ensuring proper spacing between materials.

Their divisible design offers great flexibility and adapts to the specific requirements of each project. They provide excellent stability and high compressive strength.
