1. What is the Profildeck® anti-condensation tape used for?
The Profildeck® anti-condensation tape is designed to limit the formation of condensation as a result of variations in temperature and to limit damp rising between joists and decking boards. This reduces the risk of timber deterioration and protects the decking structure. Self-adhesive and untearable, it ensures installation durability and effectiveness.
2. How is the Profildeck® anti-condensation tape used?
The self-adhesive tape is applied to the timber decking face of Profildeck® aluminium joists. For good adhesion, it must be applied only on a clean, dry surface. It is applied progressively as work on the structure advances. Its use extends the lifespan of the finished decking by protecting it more effectively against damp.
